This website evolved from a series of discussions at public and private internet clubs following the horrific attacks in the eastern United States on September 11, 2001.  (Many thanks to all who contributed links, information, and perspective.)  I hope you find this site informative and helpful, and your feedback is most welcome.

From the moment I first heard the unbelievable news that morning, I have felt a strong sense of intrigue and complicity behind the tragedy.  The likelihood of Osama bin Laden being "the mastermind" behind the attacks is slim.  Osama bin Laden has been an operative of the Central Intelligence Agency for decades, a wealthy Saudi who was convenient as a financial conduit for billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars used to usher the Soviet forces from Afghanistan (1979-1989) in what is commonly referred to as the CIA's "Secret War".  (I believe the primary reason the U.S. government kept it "secret", or more correctly "buried", was that few rational Americans would have approved giving billions of their hard-earned tax dollars to Osama bin Laden and his kind - outwardly anti-American radical Islamic fundamentalist terrorists - to resist Soviet occupation in the middle of nowhere.)  Osama bin Laden is not a military hero, but more of a broker, and he is also not a member of Afghanistan's Taliban government.  The Osama bin Laden propaganda campaign - a campaign so readily parroted in the U.S. media - to make something different of him than he really is has led me to dub him "Lee Harvey Osama".

So who did perpetrate the 9-11 attacks, and why?  I suspect a number of organizations are involved, but it will take years to unravel the mysteries, and in all probability we will never know a great deal of the workings of this insanely evil plot.  Meanwhile, these things can be said with reasonable assurance:

Lee Harvey Osama very well could have had something to do with the 9-11 attacks.  He certainly talks the talk and walks the walk of a major-league terrorist figure.  (Of course, a maxim of the CIA is that once you're in, you're never out of the agency.  But even if bin Laden and the CIA have for some reason broken that tradition and truly disavowed relations, I'm tempted to give our rich Saudi friend another nickname - FRANKENLADEN - as he and the Taliban regime are undeniably Frankenstein creations of absurd and prodigal U.S. foreign policies.)

The CIA's legacy known as the Taliban regime in Afghanistan is a potential culprit.  Of course, they have fewer resources per capita than any other country in the world, but hey!  The U.S. government did give them 43 million taxpayer dollars in May of 2001 for their "war on drugs", so they may have been able to provide at least some assistance in the assault.

I hear you out there.  You're saying, "We already knew about Lee Harvey Osama and the Taliban.  Who else may have had a hand in the September 11th attacks?"

Well, any reasonable investigation should start by looking into clandestine American operations such as the Central Intelligence Agency which funded, trained, and armed Osama bin Laden, his organization, and the Taliban forces (and don't forget that some of the 9-11 hijackers were housed and trained at U.S. military bases).  If you have a hard time believing America's spy network and military agencies are not only capable but willing to commit such unthinkable treason as terrorizing and killing its own citizens in order to provoke war, then you probably don't know about Operation Northwoods.

Serious questions have to be asked of the U.S. "Defense" and State departments, made all the more apparent with this report on Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network operating under the protection of American forces in Kosovo,  and this look at the Wolfowitz cabal and their schemes to start World War III.

Many in the world have pointed fingers toward Israeli covert operations as a possible conspirator in the 9-11 attacks.  Why?  Ever heard of the (so-called) Lavon Affair?  Click here if you haven't, and by doing so you'll get to read about the Israeli attack on the U.S.S. Liberty, too.

Many have mentioned Iraq as well in connection with the 9-11 attacks.  Why would people in Iraq hate Americans so?  Click here for possible answers to that question.

I am an American.  I love America, and its great people.  I think there are many wonderful things about the American system of life, and I have flourished and enjoyed a fabulous life here in America.  And like many Americans, I am committed to bringing down the forces of evil that perpetrate terror, death, and destruction.  But personally, I don't think blind trust of the power structure in the United States is going to help us to do that.  In fact, I believe the opposite is true.  (And contrary to the power-hungry fanatics speaking as our government, there is a difference between dissent and treason.)  Overall, I see a dire lack of wisdom and integrity in the U.S. federal and state governments, and a correspondent general decline in the average American's quality of life.  Greed, corruption, and deceit rule the day as successfully as ever in history, using the same old tools of fear, hate, inequality, harassment, and paranoia.  While many refer to the American system of government as a democracy, it is far more apropos to call it plutocracy (grin and bear the pinch of jingoistic fascism thrown in lately for spice) at the executive level of the U.S. federal government (and most state governments, also) .  Every American president in my lifetime has been a puppet of big-money special interests - particularly oil and the military-industrial complex - as opposed to being a true man of the people, and most shamelessly so.

That said, there are events in history that have facets reminiscent of those circumstances surrounding the 9-11 attacks and the aftermath.  One of these is the Reichstag Fire of 1933.  The 1963 assassination of JFK and the 1941 bombing of Pearl Harbor came to people's minds immediately.  Other events with similar details include the bombing attacks on the U.S. embassies in North Africa, and the subsequent U.S. military attacks on Sudan and Afghanistan in August 1998.  The Suez Crisis of 1956 should have taught government officials some valuable lessons for situations arising from an event such as 9-11.  (Obviously it didn't.)

Let's talk about squelched stories from September 11.  One is the 52-minute lapse in the air defense system of the United States.  And the U.S. government's complicity in the cover-up of the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995 makes me wonder about the explosions from the underground parking structures beneath the World Trade Center that morning.

Finally, this website is dedicated to the children, families, and friends of the 3,022 people who died in the senseless attacks of September 11.  I think they deserve far better answers than the ridiculous drivel from government and the mass media.  (Not that I have the answers, but maybe if we start asking the right questions, the answers will come.)
